Safety is a state of mind that is evident in all of our surroundings and everything that we do, from the office and field environments in which we work to the deliverables that we produce. We are firmly committed to ensuring that each one of our employees goes home safely at the end of every workday, and that our work products reflect a careful consideration for the well being of those who operate the facilities that we design and build.

Our Safety Coordinators maintain a comprehensive Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP) and ensure that all employees stay current in it. This program provides and documents the following:
•    MatriceTex's Commitment to Safety
•    Safety Responsibilities
•    Systems for Communicating Safe Practices
•    Systems for Ensuring Compliance with Safe Practices
•    Procedures for Accident Investigation
•    Procedures for the Correction of Unsafe / Unhealthy Conditions
•    Training and Instruction Policies
•    Record Keeping and Documentation Requirements

Where applicable, employees are made to receive safety training through recognized safety organizations. Site specific safety training is provided whenever work is to be performed within a client's facility. Specialized training (such as confined space entry and the use of specialized PPE including respirators or H2S monitors) is provided to employees whenever their activities may require additional instruction and monitoring. To ensure that a safe operating environment is created or maintained, our design work is often incorporated in detailed Management of Change (MOC) documentation. Additionally, we actively participate in project Process Hazards Analyses (PHA's or HAZOP's) to review hazards, safety, and operability issues. Information related to our safety record, is retained and kept current.
